Another visit to Arizona
Il Grand Canyon. Natura maestosa, immensa, perfetta.
"fermati attimo, perche tu sei bello"

Skiing in Vermont, 2009
This winter Ian decided ski racing was fun, after all
and picked up a few medals, including one from the hands
of Jimmy, at the Cochran's Sl
Thomas has been going strong, moving down in points and
entertaining viewers, with his wild moves and unique personality
(including his trademark pink gator and risking a DQ for a bare torso)
Christian found himself forerunning the Women's
World Cup speed events in Tarvisio, Italy
then back on Inverness
and racing the first sanctioned Slalom
at Cochran's (memorable)
In my case, this winter I decided to pick up cross-country
skiing again, after a few years away from it.
A morning skate on Middlebury's Breadloaf trails, is perfect before class
I also free skied (when powder was plenty or the weather reasonable)
.. did a little racing for a Prof's team at work (the Wobblies)...
... and coached a few weekends (still great fun after all these years!)

Winter at Sugarbush from the summit
To the West,
Lake Champlain and New York's Adirondack Mountains
White Face (Lake Placid) is barely visible in the haze
To the North, the range continues... next stop, Canada
To the East,
the Mad River Valley and Mt Washington in the distance
Looking down,
A view of Upper FIS
(again, here from below)
And an early morning moon over Mt Ellen, on my way to a race
